October 1st is known as the International Day of the elderly, and on this occasion Humanitarian Foundation Rescue along with volunteers from the Church of the Lord's Army, Jibou and Zalau and Grace Church, Zalau celebrated this event with 25 inmates aged between 60 and 70 years in Aiud Prison .
The program included songs and free discussion around some platters of sandwiches, cake along with juice and coffee.
At the end we gave each participant a gift consisting of: soap, shaving cream , disposable shaving machine, toilet paper, shirt, stamped envelope and Christian literature .
Thank God for the opportunity to spend a few hours with these people , Aiud Prison , brothers from Denmark, Seer Foundation , Anca Brasfalean journalist from Radio Voice of the Gospel and volunteers involved .
" At this meeting , besides the fact that I am made of total present in Matthew 25:35 and 36 that say , ' I was hungry and you gave me to eat , I was thirsty , and I have given to drink , I was in prison and you came to Me '', I had the opportunity to share the participants The Good News.
We socialize with them, we were there for them , listen to their frustrations .
Always such a visit to a state prison gives me inner peace and a special joy that not many places can offer me . "
