On 25th  August 2008 Rescue Humanitarian Foundation in partnership with Gherla Penitentiary, started a program for inmates adolescents aimed at informing them of violence and domestic violence.

The program is conducted in collaboration with the Center ARTEMIS-Counseling Center against sexual abuse and domestic violence, the County Police Inspectorate Cluj Napoca, The Analysis and Prevention of Crime.

This program is a modification version of the program conducted with women in prison Gherla.
The program was completed on 15 December 2008 together with the result’s evaluation.

At the end of the program the 12 teenager’s participants had a good knowledge of the significant phenomenon of domestic violence. They knew to define and make the difference between domestic violence and other forms of violence, knew forms or types of domestic violence, identified some possible factors that cause or contribute to the occurrence of domestic violence, had knowledge of the wheel control and power present in the phenomenon of domestic violence were identified that could be possible effects of domestic violence on children and what measures we could take to increase their security. Participants also identified and destroyed   some of the myths associated with this phenomenon.
