Working visit to Portugal Prison


Between April 25 to 30 Foundation Humanitarian Rescue attended a working visit to the European Grundtvig Programme "Having the New Dynamic Life Through Empoyment" at the partner organization in Portugal "Etabelecimento Beja Regional Prison.

On this visit was attended by the Rescue Humanitarian Foundation executive director Cosmin Giurgiu and psychologist Horea Nistor.

The visit aimed to discuss the project work undertaken so far and future work plan, final debate on final products of the project: portfolio, resource guide and handbook of best practices, exchange experience with prison staff on social reintegration of inmates, visiting other organizations involved in social reintegration and employment of inmates, cultural change.

During the visit, we contacted the prison system in Portugal and we had discussions on the similarities and differences between Romania and Portugal, we also compared the possibilities open to them after release detainees and received help for a better reintegration social.

Thus it ends with the visit schedule in the project following activities take place only locally.
