 Christmas parcels for inmates Rescue Foundation has prepared for this Christmas season 800 parcels for inmates who receive no help from family or anyone else. They will be distributed in the 3 penitentiaries: Aiud, Arad and Gherla. The parcels are for men, women and also for teenagers. Each parcels contain items such as: juice, wafers, oranges, cookies, chips, 2 soaps, 4 toilet papers, toothbrush, toothpaste, one pair of socks, Christian Books, and daily reading for the year. Beside that, the men received disposable shaver and the women got personal items. Four hundred and fifty people received in their parcel a Christmas postcard written by Christian people from more then 10 Churches that got involved in this campaign from Cluj-Napoca and other places. Each postcard contains an encouragement word for this period of year to help inmates to deal with it better. Money for the parcels was received from our brothers from Denmark, The Apostolic Kirk from Kolding. The parcels were made on Thursday, the 10th of December, and in this activity participated one of the brothers from Denmark, Steve Dulwich, Rescue’s Staff and 20 young volunteers. In the days to come we will distribute the parcels to inmates as followed: Arad- 350 parcels for men, Aiud 350 parcels for men, 15 parcels for women, and 12 parcels for women’s children; Gherla, Cluj Section 55 parcels for woman and 25 parcels for teenagers.
