Grundtvig Programme
Having a New Dynamic Life through Employment
Social Ability Training


In 23th of September 2009 Rescue Humanitarian Foundation finalized the program ”Social Ability Training” part of European Grundtvig Program “ Having a New Dynamic Life Through Employment”. The aim of this training was to facilitate a better reintegration in society after release for inmates.

Objective of the program were:
  1. To develop communication/interpersonal abilities
  2. To develop anger management abilities
  3. To develop conflict resolution
  4. To develop problem solving abilities
  5. To identify personal goals
  6. To increase self confidence
  7. To discuss the main problems after release
The training has five modules: Communication/ relation ability; anger management and conflict resolution ; problem solving; identify personal goals and discuss the main problems after release.

The target group was 36 inmates from Gherla Penitentiary, but only 10 finished the program the rest of them was released or was transferred to a different penitentiary.

The training consist in weekly meetings with a lent of 2 hours. The activities from this program were: presentation, sending information, roll playing game, practical activities, watching educative videos.

The results of the training were: Increase the communication abilities; Exercise the conflict resolution technique; Increase the anger management; Learn the problem solving system, Identify personal goals for the future; Find the possible solutions to the main problems after release.

At the end of the training each participant received a diploma as a reward for his participation to the program.
