On Thursday, the 5th of May, at the Aiud Penitentiary, took place the Graduation for the course “Strong Men in Tough Times”. The program was organized by Rescue Foundation, together with the Aiud Penitentiary supported by the Association of Christian Men in Romania.
During seven months, the participants - ten men, inmates- studied weekly the moral, Christian values that give strength to the character of a man.
They were encouraged to read the Bible to discover the strong characters and the integrity of those whose life was changed by faith and became successful men. Every person had the chance during the course to identify the deficiencies of their own character and behavior and they were challenged to start shaping them with the help of God.
Analyzing the failures brought forward at the course, everyone was stimulated to meditate on their own failures and mistakes and take important decisions to live a balanced and worthy life. They were also challenged to overcome the deceptive philosophies and bring back the balance, hope and dignity in the family and our society, which is in great need of strong men, truthfully speaking.
The ultimate example we looked permanently at, in every session, was Jesus Christ.
At the graduation we were honored by the presence of the wife and the sister of the founder of Rescue Foundation, Thorkil Jorgensen.
Because this program had a great impact and brought important changes, the participants required of the leadership of the Penitentiary and Rescue Foundation to start a new interactive study on the same subject.
