 • ACTIVITIES - PREVENTION - visit at “Nicolae Titulescu” School

In 28 May 2009, Humaniatarian Foundation „Rescue”, represented by Adriana Ilies-the assistant manager of the Foundation, visited the „Nicolae Titulescu” School, from Cluj-Napoca in order to dicuss with the students regarding the prevention of juvenile delinquency. The discussion was based on the documentary movie, called „The Choice Is Yours !”

The activity took place at the 8th grade D. At the meeting also participated the teachers from the school and the school's psychologist, Lorena Muresan.

The meeting started with a short presentation of the main activities of our Foundation, we gave them some made-papers with a resume of our activities and we discusses about the opportunity they have to become our volunteers, helping us at the activities that we have to do.

I asked them what they understand through the term of "choice", which is the main difference between the good choises and the wrong ones. I asked them also if they need a group of support when they have to choose, and if it is so which will be those persons. The students participated actively to the conversation and brought few possible situations in which they have to choose. Many of them referred to the next step of their life, what highschool to choose in order to continue the learning process. Our discussion concentrated on the importance of the school in the teenager's life, the familiy's role and the importance of the group of friends when they have to choose.

At the end of our meeting the students received a questionary and they had to complete it. The questionary was made in order to identify the delinquent behaviour and the main causes of this kind of behaviour.

After they finished answering at the questions they could express their opinions about the whole activity wrinting down a short comment.

The teachers expressed their need to organize more activities of this kind and they also are willing to develop new projects with our foundation.
