The theme of the Saturday meeting at Rescue Foundation was “Right priorities in your life”. We had four guests from Denmark: Jesper Kure, Thorkil Jorgensen, Lasse Baerentsen, Erling Forunais Jacobsen and about 25 youth from churches in Cluj-Napoca.
The message of Jasper Kure, reverend of the Apostolic Church in Kolding was about Jesus’ place in our life. Jesper talked about his personal desire to be professionally and financially accomplished. He could consider himself to be a fulfilled man because of the good job he had and because of the good financial situation. The question Jesper had for the audience was: can a man feel fulfilled when he has all these accomplishments or when he lives in God’s way?

God’s calling for Jasper was to leave Denmark far away from all he realized in there. Zambia is a poor country in Africa where the life span is about 35 years. He worked there as a missionary. How can a man answer to such a calling? The answer he got was from Mathew 6:33: “He will give you all you need from day to day if you live for him and make The Kingdom of God your primary concern”.
Jesper understood that God had to be the center of his life, in each activity, in each field of his life. He made a list of priorities that stared with God, but God was also in each activity.
Lasse Baerentsen prepared some magic tricks for audience, each of them with a message for youth. Everybody loved them. What he wanted people to understand is that God wants each of us to serve Him. We have to learn how to listen to His voice and to follow Him. He also talked about his personal experience with God, when God called him on his name to serve Him
The messages on Saturday evening were warm and encouraging. Our youth felt that the message was very personal, that each of them had difficulties in establishing priorities and in serving God.
