Celebrating Christmas in Aiud Penitentiary

On Thursday, 17th of December, we had the great pleasure of going to Aiud, together with a group of singers to share the joy of Christmas with the inmates of this penitentiary. The singers were a group of young people from Cluj, always ready to sacrifice their own time, even in this busy period, in order to bring light and hope in this place, where people need to feel the presence of God.

Our desire was that, through our activities there, carols and poems, we would challenge them not to feel lonely around this time, because God has sent His only Son on earth to save each of those who believe in Him. So everyone that is seeking peace, love, joy, forgiveness, to be able to find it in the One we are celebrating the next days.

This was the message of those who spoke from the word of God, Cosmin Giurgiu and Lawrence Daniel Isaac. A great impact on them was the testimony of our brother Voicu Giurgiu, who shared the way that God has brought him victorious out of a trial, after a stroke. At the end of the meetings, the men were given the gifts we have prepared the previous days. We hope that they will be a blessing for them, same as our presence there. There were 350 parcels prepared for the men, 15 for the women and 12 for the women's children.
