Participated at Preparatory visit in Italy
Between 15th to 19th November 2011 Cosmin Giurgiu and Horia Nistor, members of the Rescue Humanitarian Foundation, took part in a preparatory visit to find new partners for a European program in Casaltone, Italy.
The visit was organized by Giolli Cooperativa Sociale, Regio Emilia and were present 12 people from non-governmental organizations from 9 countries, all working in adult education. The purpose of the visit was to find new partners from different European countries with which to develop new projects in partnership.
The result of the visit is based on a draft project for a future issue of reintegration of inmates. The project will aim to facilitate the reintegration of inmates, to increase self-esteem of inmates, to reduce stereotypes present in society for prison and offenders, to make a connection between prison and society, to provide professional guidance and support people to find their professional line.
Among the activities proposed to be made in projects listed: conducting support groups for offenders (through theater, art groups, alcolicii anonymous) problem-solving sessions with offenders, social responsibility and prevention activities in witch offender be involved (participation in delinquency prevention in schools, the management of study groups / art in prison, making useful objects for other members of society); debate the possibility of application of restorative justice activities, group activities with young people (pupils, students) to reduce stereotypes (eg, prison visits, theatheal representation with offenders, etc.) activities aimed at exploring the future of the offenders through theater, etc., conducting mass media roundtables and their involvement in activities to raise awareness, sensibilised companies for employment of ex-offenders, exchange of information on the prison system in different countries, exchange of methods and practices between partners;
At this partnership announced their intention to participate an organization from Italy and one from France.
